This is all well and good, but Queer Theory when taken to the extreme Judith Butler takes it dehumanizes the struggle by deconstructing “normative” to imply that Queer identities must be in a constant state of “resistance” to new normals. This baffles me, only in a post-modernist, academic setting do you conflate the desire to get married, adopt children, identify as trans* within the binary as being ‘normative’ or oppressive. This is probably why a lot of of Queer-Anarchist blogs on tumblr have such bad politics, they attack (in circular firing squad fashion) other queer people for not being “queer enough” in their aspirations and political resistance, all the while not even challenging capitalism or systems of oppression at all.
